It’s not just annoying—it can actually be stressful on the eyes, especially for babies who can’t look away. We figured out a way to fix that by changing how the light actually works. Saving the eyes Instead of that blinding white light, we use a special kind of quartz glass with built-in filters. It basically blocks out the high-energy visible light and pushes the energy into the mid-to-long-wave range. The result? You still get that deep, cozy warmth on your skin, but the light stays dim and gentle. It’s much easier on the eyes. Fighting the steam Let’s be honest: bathrooms are a nightmare for electronics. Between the humidity and the splashes, things break. That’s why we went with an IP55 rating. We’ve packed the housing with high-temp silicone gaskets and reinforced seals to keep steam and water jets out of the electrical guts. Without these, moisture sneaks into the sockets, causes oxidation, and your heater burns out way too soon. Our seals stop that from happening. The trade-off Here’s the catch. When you filter the light to make it safer, you lose a little bit of that raw heating punch you’d get from a clear tube. It’s a small price to pay for safety, but it means you might want to go with a slightly higher wattage if you want the room to warm up instantly. Getting it installed We made these as drop-in replacements, so you aren’t spending your whole weekend rewiring the ceiling. The connectors are standard and simple. Just one tip: check your circuit breaker. These lamps have a bit of a power surge when they first kick in. If your wiring is too thin, you’ll see a voltage drop, and your heater just won’t feel as hot as it should.
