We shape the housing and reflectors specifically to kill &amp;ldquo;hot spots.&amp;rdquo;&#xA;A diffused reflector is your best friend here. It spreads the energy out across a wider area so you don&amp;rsquo;t end up with a concentrated beam that could burn delicate skin.&#xA;For the glass, we stick with quartz. It handles the heat shock like a pro and lets those filtered IR waves pass through clearly. One quick tip: if you&amp;rsquo;re putting these in a steamy environment,**double-check your seals.**If moisture leaks in, your filament is toast.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The trade-offs&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Here&amp;rsquo;s the thing: you can&amp;rsquo;t get something for nothing.
