At the heart of this heater is a 400V, 2500W halogen lamp, tucked inside a 300mm tube. Why 400V? Because it pulls less current than 230V, which keeps wiring and connections from turning into a bulky headache. And that 2500W rating? It’s all about heat density—this thing warms up fast. The 300mm length keeps the footprint small enough to fit into tight spots, but remember: the heat is concentrated. Plan your mounting and clearance before you bolt anything down.
What it’s made of—and why it matters
Inside, the halogen element lives in a quartz envelope. That’s not just a fancy choice—quartz handles the extreme filament temperatures needed to deliver intense heat. The coating on the quartz does real work, too: it manages UV emissions, so your operators and nearby equipment stay protected. Then there’s the R7s base. It’s the workhorse connector here—two solid contact points that are easy to wire and tough enough to handle vibration, even in outdoor enclosures.
