By the time the room is actually cozy, you’re already dressed and gone. We do things differently. We use shortwave infrared (IR) emitters. Instead of fighting the air, these heaters go straight for the target—you. It’s like stepping into a patch of sunlight on a winter day. You flip the switch, and you feel the warmth instantly. No waiting. No shivering. How it actually works It comes down to the quartz filament. The second it gets power, it hits peak temperature. Because it’s shortwave radiation, the heat doesn’t float around the room; it beams directly onto your skin and your surfaces. It’s fast. Really fast. Then there’s the mirror. We’ve all dealt with that annoying fog that makes it impossible to shave or do makeup. We tuck low-profile heating elements or IR lamps right behind the glass. The trick is getting the temperature just right. Too low, and you still have those annoying foggy patches. Too high, and you risk cracking the mirror backing. We’ve found a sweet spot that keeps the glass crystal clear without stressing the materials. A few things to watch out for Now, you can’t just throw these in anywhere. Since we’re talking about a damp bathroom, the wiring has to be tight. Everything needs a sealed housing so moisture doesn’t get anywhere near the electrical terminals. Safety first.
