Ever stepped out of a shower into a freezing bathroom and wished the room was actually warm, instead of just waiting for a radiator to slowly heat up the air? That’s exactly why we build mirror infrared heaters. Most heaters try to warm the air around you. The problem is, in a big open bathroom or dressing area, that air just drifts away. It’s a waste of time. Our systems skip the middleman and send heat straight to you.
How the “Instant” Part Works
Inside the unit, there’s a quartz halogen element. The second you flip the switch, the filament hits its peak temperature in a heartbeat. It creates shortwave radiation that goes right through the air and warms your skin directly. But the secret sauce is the parabolic mirror sitting behind the element. It takes that heat and beams it forward in a concentrated stream. You don’t have to wait for the room to warm up; you just step into the zone andfeel it immediately.
Dealing with Steam and Heat
Bathrooms are tough on electronics. Between the humidity and the temperature swings, things tend to break. We use high-grade quartz glass for the filament because it doesn’t crack under thermal shock and keeps moisture from causing a short circuit. For the backing, we use polished aluminum or gold coating to make sure as much heat as possible is reflected toward you. One heads-up, though: these things pack a lot of punch in a small space. If your bathroom doesn’t have decent ventilation, the area around the fixture can get pretty hot, which might trip the safety cut-offs. Just make sure your airflow is sorted.
Keeping it Simple
We designed these to fit right into luxury fixtures without a headache. Most of them use standard R7s connectors, which makes maintenance a breeze. Since those quartz tubes deal with a lot of stress from turning on and off, they’ll eventually need replacing. We made that part easy. You don’t have to rip out the whole mirror assembly or call in a crew. You just pull the old tube out, slide a new one in, and you’re back in business. It’s basically the power of an industrial dryer, but it looks right at home in your bathroom.
